Who is Christian Horner? The F1 Red Bull team mastermind who faces accusations of inappropriate behaviour

Apart from the mega news that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will be moving to Ferrari in 2025, the Formula One world was rocked last week by the reports that Red Bull Formula One team is investigating Christian Horner, its team principal, over an allegation of misconduct toward a team employee.

While Horner’s popularity is nowhere close that of F1 legend Hamilton, the Briton’s contribution to the circuit cannot be understated. Horner has orchestrated the Austrian drinks company’s phenomenal success on the track.

Who is Christian Horner?

Horner started his racing career in Karts and participated in Formula 3000 before retiring in 1998 at the age of 25. Horner retired early to venture into management and look after Arden team which he had founded.

He was appointed as the youngest team principal in the Formula One paddock aged 31 in 2005 he has overseen six constructors championships and seven drivers titles – a remarkable achievement by any yardstick.
