With another week coming to a conclusion, we take a look at some of the key sporting fixtures to watch out this weekend – from the fifth India-England Test and the Women’s Premier League to some of the standout fixtures in the Premier League, LaLiga, Indian Super League and more.
India vs England: The fifth and final Test between India and England got underway on Thursday in Dharamsala’s HPCA Stadium with the Rohit Sharma-led hosts firmly on top at the moment and well-poised to end the series with a 4-1 victory. The third and the fourth days are set to take place on Saturday and Sunday respectively. All four Tests so far in this series have lasted four days and that could also be the case in the series finale as well.
Women’s Premier League: The second season of the Women’s Premier League has gone past the halfway stage with the teams having shifted their base to New Delhi after the first half of the season was played in Bengaluru. Delhi Capitals find themselves at the top of the table at the moment with defending champions Mumbai Indians at second.
Royal Challengers Bangalore lie at the third spot and they too are very much in the fray as far as the playoffs, which will take place in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, are concerned.
