Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been one team who are yet to win the IPL trophy after 16 successful editions. RCB have been the third-most successful team when it comes to qualifying for the IPL play-offs.
RCB have made it to the IPL playoffs eight times, and entered the final thrice. Despite being one of the most cherished and celebrated team in the IPL history, RCB’s wait to lay their hand on the coveted trophy continues.

RCB Jersey in IPL 2008
The ‘OG Jersey’ donned by the likes of Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble and Jacques Kallis was manufactured by Reebok. It had an orane tinge with sponsors ‘Royal Challenge’ name in the centre.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2009
A lighter shade of golden was introduced. Reebok remained the manufacturer. The golden strips came on the trousers for the first time.

A slight change in the colour with broader stripes on the shoulders.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2011
RCB introduced the ‘Game for Green’ concept in 2011 and the blue coloured regions on the jersey.

No changes in the jersey.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2013
No changes in the jersey, but a massive change in leadership role saw Virat Kohli being named the RCB captain.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2014
The blue on the jersey was increased by replacing the golden ones on the shoulders. A darker shade of blue was used.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2015
Adidas took over as the jersey manufacturer of the RCB. Golden-coloured collars and blue-coloured sleeves were introduced.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2016-19
It was just a one-year stint with Adidas as the newcomers Zeven brought in a game-changing concept. For the first time ever in the IPL, a team had home and away jerseys.The redesigned logo ‘unleashed the rampant lion returning him to the Royal lineage’.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2020
Virat Kohli’s apparel brand Wrogn took over as the new manufacturer. The bigger red coloured region was utilized to bring the team’s lion into the design.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2021
The kit design remained the same in the 2021 edition. RCB players don blue jerseys in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a tribute to Covid-19 frontline workers.
RCB Jersey in IPL 2022-23
Deep blue became the dominant shade to fade into red, which was predominantly used on the trousers. The jersey remained the same for the 2023 season. Faf du Plessis took over the captaincy from Kohli.
