Rajasthan Royals are ready to test themselves again in the battlefield of IPL 2024. Like last year, this year they will be led by Sanju Samson, hoping to repeat their success story of the first edition of IPL.
The Royals will kick start their journey of IPL 2024 with a face-off against the Lucknow Super Giants on March 24.
In IPL 2023 RR finished 5th in the table, missing the play-offs by 2 points. They managed to get victorious on seven occasions but that was not enough to secure a spot for them in the tournament’s next stage. Now, the Royals are here again with a formidable squad, charged up with the addition of big-hitters like Rovman Powell, Tom Kohler-Cadmore in the team.

Rajasthan Royals: Who will score the Most Runs?
1. Sanju Samson: The 30-year-old wicketkeeper-batter is with the Royals for a long time and leading them since 2021. Last year Samson was the third-highest scorer for the Royals with 362 runs with a decent average. Now it will be a perfect season for RR captain if he shows enough consistency throughout the season which he lacked last season.
2. Jos Buttler: The English T20 superstar already has 5 centuries beside his name. In IPL 2022 his gigantic performance of 863 runs along with 4 centuries took RR to the final of the tournament. Last year Butler was the 2nd highest scorer for the Royals. RR will count on his scoring spree for this season also.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal: We can’t ignore this young top-order batter who also happened to be the highest scorer for the Royals in IPL 2023. He finished the season with a staggering 625 runs with a formidable 163.6 strike rate. A performance like the previous season of IPL from the opener will ease off the pressures from big-hitters packed middle order of the RR.
Rajasthan Royals: Who will take the most number of wickets?
1. Yuzvendra Chahal: Last season’s top wicket-taker for Rajasthan along with R. Ashwin will lead the spinning unit of the RR. Taking 21 wickets with a decent economy rate reflects his ability to keep a check on runs while creating pressure on the opponents. With this ability, Chahal is expected to repeat his feat in IPL 2024.
2. Trent Boult: The veteran Kiwi fast bowler can be the first-choice pacer for the Royals in the upcoming IPL. With his ability to move the ball both ways made him irreplaceable for any squad. In the last IPL Boult managed to collect 13 wickets in 10 matches. This time he surely aims to surpass his previous year’s statistics with more fearsome performances.
3. Ravichandran Ashwin: Ravichandran Ashwin, the seasoned campaigner can play a big part in Rajasthan’s IPL hopes this year. Ashwin’s bowling intelligence makes him one of the most dangerous bowlers and the veteran is likely to thrive in the IPL for the Royals this year.
