Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi, PSL 2024 Qualifier: MS vs PZ Head To Head, Live Streaming & Telecast Info

Table-toppers Multan Sultans face second-placed Peshawar Zalmi in the first match of the playoffs when the two sides meet in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 qualifier at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday (March 14).

Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans head into the match on the back of a 79-run victory over Quetta Gladiators. Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, are fresh from a thrilling 2-run win against Karachi Kings.

Sultans rode on Rizwan and Johnson Charles fifties to set a target of 186 before bowling out the Gladiators for a paltry 106, while Zalmi were inspired by Babar’s fifty and Naveen-ul-Haq’s 2 for 22 as they defended 147 by restricting Kings to 145.

Peshawar Zalmi will also take confidence from being the only team to do the double over the table-toppers Multan Sultans this season, having registered a 5-run win in Multan on February 23 and a 4-run victory on March 5 in Rawalpindi.

In the first fixture, Zalmi rode on an all-round effort with the bat to post 179 before David Malan’s 25-ball 52 had put Sultans right on track for the chase, but Luke Wood’s spell of 2 for 13 sealed a 5-run win for Babar & co.

In the reverse fixture, Babar (64 off 40) powered Zalmi to 204/5, but Sultans were once again alive in the chase thanks to Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten 60 off 27 and Chris Jordan’s 27 off 12, but Rizwan’s side once again fell agonizingly short of the target as they could manage only 200.

Zalmi will look to remain unbeaten against Sultans when the two sides clash for the 16th time in HBL PSL, and for the fourth time in Karachi, where Multan hold a 2-1 record against Peshawar in Pakistan Super League.

With the reverse fixture result, the season form and their earlier record from meetings at the National Stadium out of the way, now let’s take a look at the head-to-head record, live streaming and telecast details for MS vs PZ PSL 2024 Qualifier:
