IPL 2024: Sawai Mansingh Stadium Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, T20, Indian Premier League Records & Stats

Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, established in 1969 and named after Sawai Man Singh II, the former Maharaja of the state of Jaipur, will host a few matches during the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League – IPL 2024, which starts from Friday (March 22).

Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which underwent a major renovation in 2006, has served as home venues to Rajasthan state teams, the Indian cricket team and since 2008, when Indian Premier League (IPL) started as a home to the Rajasthan Royals.

The venue in Jaipur will play hosts to at least seven home games of the inaugral champions Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming campaign of IPL. The Royals had played two home games at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

In the partial released schedule, RR will host three matches at their home venue, starting with the opener against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 followed by a fixture against Delhi Capitals on March 28.

In the third match at home, the Royals will host Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 6 with the remaining matches to be revealed soon as the election dates have been finalized.

The SMS venue will be hosting it’s ninth season of the cash-rich league matches, having hosted several matches in IPL, the home games of RR in eight seasons prior to the 2024 season.

The lowest total was registered at the venue last season, but historically there has been a mix of high-scoring and low-scoring affairs in Jaipur. Here is a look at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur information, T20 and IPL records at the venue ahead of IPL 2024:
