IPL 2024: Four LSG Youngsters Who Can Make Significant Impact This Season

Lucknow Super Giants were inducted into the lucrative Indian Premier League in the 2022 season. Under the tutelage of KL Rahul, the LSG franchise qualified for the playoffs in their debut season and then repeated the same feat in IPL 2023.

1. Ayush Badoni

Known for his aggressive batting and top-notch hitting abilities, Ayush Badoni made his mark for LSG in the first two seasons. He was roped in by the franchise for INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2022 auction.

The youngster scored a fifty in his IPL debut but failed to make his presence count in the upcoming games. However, the 24-year-old did improve quite a bit in the subsequent season as he scored 238 runs. With a taste of IPL experience in his belt, he is expected to shine for LSG in IPL 2024.

2. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi is certainly one of the youngsters who is expected to shine for LSG in the bowling department in IPL 2024. LSG secured his services for INR 4 crore in IPL 2022 auction. The 23-year-old performed pretty well, accounting for 13 dismissals in 14 games.

The bright prospect earned the trust of the franchise, courtesy of his impressive bowling spell in his first season. Rightly so, he was retained by the franchise ahead of IPL 2023 auction. He continued to deliver the goods for LSG, taking 16 wickets in 15 matches.

3. Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal shifted his base from Rajasthan Royals to Lucknow Super Giants as part of a trade deal for INR 7.75 crore. The attacking left-handed batter has four years of IPL experience under his belt where he played 57 games.

The 23-year-old who represented Royal Challengers Bangalore and Devdutt Padikkal in his career has by far aggregated 1521 runs including 1 century and 9 half-centuries.

4. Mohsin Khan

Mohsin Khan didn’t get the match opportunity when he was first purchased by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018 auction. However, he finally got the chance to make his mark in the IPL when he was roped in by LSG for his base price of INR 20 Lakh in 2022.

The 25-year-old made 14 appearances for Lucknow Super Giants, wherein he took 17 wickets to his name. The paceman is expected to hit the deck hard and make a telling impact for the franchise in IPL 2024.
