The match 16th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 took place between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday (3rd April). The match between the two teams took place at the Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Kolkata Knight Riders continued their dominating run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as they thumped Delhi Capitals by 106 runs. They batted and bowled tremendously well and registered their third consecutive win in the tournament to register important points under their belt.

Kolkata Knight Riders opted to bat first and the decision worked in their favour. Sunil Narine put up a show with the bat as he took bowlers to the cleaners. The opening batter added 60 runs partnership with Phil Slat (18) inside the 5 overs to set the platform for the team
After Salt got out, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (54) impressed many on his debut. He slammed a vital half-century and along with Narine (84) added 104 runs for the second wicket that put Delhi Capitals in the dominating position at the Visakhapatnam.
After the carnage by the duo, Andre Russell (41) played a brutal innings with the bat. Rinku Singh (26) played a blistering cameo as well as Kolkata Knight Riders batters were all over the Delhi Capitals bowlers in the match 16th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
They were looking all set for a total over 280 runs but Delhi Capitals bowlers bowled well in the last phase. Based on the brutal batting performance from the top and lower order, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a gigantic total of 272 runs, which is the second highest in the IPL.
For Delhi Capitals, Anrich Nortje picked three wickets whereas Ishant Sharma picked two wickets. Khaleel Ahmed and Mitchell Marsh also bagged one wicket. All the bowlers had an economy of over 10 in the match.

DC vs KKR IPL 2024 Match 16 – Delhi Capitals innings: Tristan Stubbs, and Rishabh Pant shine for Delhi with bat whereas the rest fail
Delhi Capitals were off to the worst possible start with the bat. Prithvi Shaw (10) and David Warner (18) went after starts whereas Mitchell Marsh and Abhishek Porel bagged ducks. They were left tottering at 33/4 as KKR bowlers swung the ball perfectly early on.
Skipper Rishabh Pant (55) and Tristan Stubbs (54) made sure that they fought for their team to give their home crowd something to cheer about. The duo hit some lusty blows in their innings and added a 93-run partnership that kept Delhi in the hunt.
But after they got out, Delhi Capitals lost wickets in quick succession of time.Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers made sure that they closed the game perfectly well and bagged a massive win. They bundled out the opposition for 166 and won the game by 106 runs.
