The Capitals will start their IPL 2024 journey by being welcomed by Punjab Kings in Mohali on March 23.
In the last season, Delhi Capitals finished 9th with 10 points by winning 5 matches only out of 14 league games. Although they played the final in 2020, winning the trophy still remains a dream for them. DC will be back this year with their Armada, which is already bolstered by the inclusion of new players from the last auction.

IPl 2024: Delhi Capitals Players to Keep an Eye On
In IPL 2023 DC had suffered for their problematic batting. They had to pay the price for the absence of Rishabh Pant. Also the middle order lacked the experience to handle the pressure. In this season DC also faced a massive blow as the English batter Harry Brook withdrew from the tournament. Despite this, in IPL 2024 their batting order is looking powerful enough to overcome the hurdles of the last season.
Delhi Capitals: Who will score the Most Runs?
1. David Warner: The 37-year-old Australian batter expected to be the main pillar of the batting squad for this season also. Last year he was the highest scorer for the DC by scoring 516 runs with an average of 36.86. Despite his age he is still impeccable for the batting squad of the team.
2. Rishabh Pant: The youngster missed out on the last IPL due to injury and he will be back on the pitch after 15 months in this IPL 2024. He already has 2838 runs in the IPL in 98 matches. The big hitter from Uttarakhand is expected to drive forward DC in this campaign.
3. Prithvi Shaw: One of India’s most talented batters Prithvi Shaw has been with DC from the start of his IPL career. His performance last year was below average and the 24-year-old would be desperate to make amends this year. Shaw is set to be the tone-setter for DC and can be counted upon for some great innings with his bat.
Delhi: Three Predicted Top Wicket-Takers
1. Kuldeep Yadav: The ‘Chinaman’ bowler has already proved himself in IPL across multiple franchises year after year. Last year also he delivered a decent performance with the Delhi squad. He got 10 wickets at a miserly economy and was one of their bright sparks in the bowling department. The Indian spinner is expected to showcase his prowess this season as well.
2. Axar Patel: Axar Patel had the best bowling credentials among the DC bowlers in the last IPL. He got 11 wickets with a 7.19 economy rate and also managed to deliver 105 dot balls over the season. Along with Kuldeep Yadav, Axar can be another big performer for Delhi in this IPL, and don’t forget his abilities with the bat as well.
3. Mukesh Kumar: The expectations will be sky-high from Mukesh Kumar. His emergence in the IPL earned him a spot in the Indian team across all formats, and Mukesh will be spearheading the Delhi pace lineup. He didn’t have the best of seasons last year, but the Bengal bowler will be much more equipped for success this season.
