CSK vs GT, IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score Most Runs in Match 7

CSK vs GT: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the seventh game of IPL 2024 and the highly-anticipated fixture will get underway at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai at 7:30 PM (IST) on Tuesday (March 26).

In the last season, both teams made it to the finals of the competition. CSK defeated GT in the last ball thriller to win their fifth IPL title and GT will look to inflict a defeat on CSK in the upcoming fixture.

Notably, both teams opened their account with a win at their respective home venues in IPL 2024. While CSK beat RCB by six wickets in the tournament opener, GT got the better of MI by six runs.

It remains to be seen which team will use their resources effectively to come out on top in the battle. Let’s now take a glimpse at the four batsmen from both teams who can muster the most runs in the seventh match of the competition.

1. Rachin Ravindra: CSK’s new signing Rachin Ravindra proved his worth in his IPL debut against RCB at the Chepauk. The young New Zealand international provided a blistering start in the run-chase by chipping in with a quickfire 37 off 15 balls, laced with three fours and as many sixes at a strike rate of 246.67. After a positive debut, the left-hander will be raring to pose a serious threat to GT in the upcoming game at home.

2. Sai Sudharsan: GT’s young talent Sai Sudharsan has been a revelation for the franchise since the last season. He was the standout performer for GT in the IPL 2023 final against CSK where he scored 96 off 47. He mustered 362 runs last season at an average of 51.71. Notably, he was adjudged the Man of the Match for his impressive 45 off 39 against MI in the last game. The bright prospect is certainly a batsman to watch out for in the game against CSK.

3. Shivam Dube: During the tournament opener against RCB, when CSK required someone to step up and show defiance in the middle order, Dube lived up to his reputation by scoring an unbeaten 34 off 28 balls including 4 fours and a six. The left-hander who is particularly effective in hitting big sixes will be looking forward to taking the GT’s bowling attack to the cleaners, with his fearless approach.

4. Shubman Gill: GT captain Shubman Gill did get off to a decent start against MI by mustering 31 off 22 balls including three fours and a six. He must be disappointed for failing to convert it into a big score but would be eyeing to make his presence count in the next game against CSK. The youngster has played 12 games against CSK wherein he amassed 301 runs at a strike rate of 126.47. Overall, he amassed 2821 runs at an average of 37.61 including 3 centuries and 18 fifties.
