Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr teammate ‘can’t explain stupid injury’ after Training Fiasco ends Season

Al Nassr have a huge next couple of weeks in this season. After a defeat in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinal against Al Ain, they need a way to come back to form.

Anderson Talisca, who was having an excellent season with them, won’t take any further part this season after getting a freak injury during a training session. It will come as a huge blow to Cristiano Ronaldo and his team, as the Portuguese and the Brazilian were complementing each other superbly.

Talisca had already scored 25 goals in 25 matches this season for the Knights of Najd and was destined to score more, but the Brazilian will now undergo surgery on Wednesday (March 6).

After getting the injury, Talisca shared the news with his fans and was hugely frustrated with the latest setback. He took to X and thanked the fans for their support.

“Hello guys, thank you for all the comments and messages. I was not able to respond to everyone and I cannot respond. My head is still racing with everything that happened so quickly. Thank you and everything is fine,” Talisca wrote.

“I wonder how I got injured. It was something very stupid and simple. I was alone and went to finish the ball in training before the match. Anyway, it’s something that even I don’t know how to explain,” he added.

The injury happened just before their match against Al Ain, and the 30-year-old’s absence was palpable in the result, as Al Nassr lost to their UAE opponents in the 1st leg of the continental tie.

The onus will now be on Cristiano Ronaldo to fire them to the semifinal of the AFC Champions League, as the return leg is on Tuesday (March 12). Ahead of that, Al Nassr will host Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League.
