MS Dhoni’s long-time friend Mihir Diwakar’s company Arka Sports has come onto the radar as the former has filed a fraud case against him.
Dhoni had claimed that Diwakar was using his name to initiate businesses that were not permitted by him. He had also alleged him of conducting a fraud worth INR 15 crore along with Saumya Das of Arka Sports Pvt Ltd. Thereafter, Diwakar had filed a defamation case against the former India captain quashing allegations raised by him.
Now, the Ranchi civil court has considered the complaint filed by Dhoni against Diwakar and Das. A criminal case will be filed against Diwakar and Das of Arka Sports. The complaint which was filed by Seemant Lohani on behalf of Dhoni, saw the court of Judicial Magistrate Raj Kumar Pandey book both accused of committing fraud.

Diwakar has been a close friend of Dhoni and both were seen together whenever the latter attended public gatherings. Specifically, he was a close associate of Dhoni in setting up MS Dhoni Cricket Academy. The academy operates out of India, Dubai, and Singapore as of now. It is believed that the cracks formed between the two over Diwakar using logos of Dhoni’s name to extract amounts from businesses that were not included in the agreement.
The complaint which was filed in October was heard on January 5, as the Chennai Super Kings captain’s close aid Lohani attended the hearing. He had produced the required proofs of the alleged fraud committed to Dhoni. Lohani had also given out his statement and the same was recorded on the affidavit. The court will be issuing summons to all the three parties involved in the case.

Speaking about Dhoni’s friends, he was seen promoting his childhood friend Paramjit Singh’s small sports shop. The shop which goes by the name Prime Sports is where the 42-year-old spent his most of his time in his early days.
