Sri Lanka To Tour Bangladesh In March; Set To Play 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 World Test Championship Matches

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled the schedule for Sri Lanka’s upcoming tour in 2024. The tour encompasses three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests, with the latter being integral to the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship cycle.

The series will mark the first instance where Bangladesh will not play at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, as the venue will be occupied hosting the Australian women’s side at the end of March.

Sri Lanka are expected to arrive in Dhaka on March 1, coinciding with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. The series will begin with three T20Is in Sylhet on March 4, 6, and 9. The first two matches are set to commence at 6:00 pm local time, while the third game is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

Following the T20Is, the teams will shift to Chattogram for a three-match ODI series on March 13, 15, and 18. The first two ODIs will be day-night fixtures, with the third ODI starting at 10:00 am-the earliest ODI start time in Bangladesh in the last 11 years.
