Bukayo Saka Responds to Rio Ferdinand’s ‘Not World Class’ Comments After Arsenal Win

16 goals in a season, consistency that is up there with the best of talent currently, and the fulcrum of a team that has racked up six consecutive wins in the Premier League.

World-class enough? Well, Bukayo Saka addressed the infamous Rio Ferdinand comments lately.

Mikel Arteta’s men stumbled to a 1-0 Champions League defeat at Porto in midweek, but were quickly back on the horse domestically to take their tally to 25 goals in six consecutive Premier League wins.

Arsenal triumphed in a 4-1 romp of Newcastle United last night, as they dominated the Magpies on set-pieces, nabbing three out of their four goals from the same.

Saka has now scored seven times in the last five Premier League games and only a fine save from Karius at his near post delayed the England international continuing his scoring streak before half-time.

After the match, Saka was asked about his recent run of form by an interviewer.

“16 goals now this season, how about that finish as well, some would call it world-class,’ stated interviewer Jules Breach.

As his reply, Saka just laughed and said: “No comment. I am happy with another goal today and more importantly happy to win.
