Formula E event showcases the significance of flawless performance, as stated by Cassidy.

Nick Cassidy, a driver for Jaguar TCS Racing, has discussed the level of competition in the FIA Formula E World Championship after completing three rounds.

Cassidy commends the impressive speed demonstrated by multiple teams, including Nissan, DS, NEOM McLaren, and Masterati MSG Racing. He believes that with these teams, along with Jaguar and Porsche, there are a total of 16 competitive cars in the championship. Cassidy acknowledges that there will be challenging weekends where finishing in the top 10 will be difficult. He expresses surprise that the media only focuses on Jaguar and Porsche, as Formula E is highly competitive overall.

Cassidy believes that season 10 could be the most competitive yet, based on the strong performances in Diriyah. He attributes the competitiveness to the need for everything to go right, rather than randomness or luck. He expects there will be days when he qualifies in lower positions due to the tight field, but emphasizes the importance of minimizing those days and optimizing performance.

A recent study by Blackbook Motorsport reveals increased television ratings for Formula E in the United States and the United Kingdom. The Mexico E-Prix had double the viewership compared to last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix in the US. Despite being unaware of this positive trend, Cassidy expresses his love for the sport and hopes for its continued growth. He highlights the presence of talented drivers, successful manufacturers, and strong teams as reasons for optimism.

Looking ahead, Formula E will return to racing in Sao Paolo after a long break. The championship will also have its first race in Japan, with a new street circuit in Tokyo. This race will take place one week before the Formula 1 race in Suzuka. Cassidy finds the prospect of a new race in a vibrant city like Tokyo exciting and believes there is room for both Formula E and Formula 1 to thrive.
