New Delhi: Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has called Heinrich Klaasen as the best T20I batter as Klaasen once again performed brilliantly with the bat for the Durban Super Giants in SA20. He played a gritty knock of 74 runs in the second qualifier against the Johannesburg Super Kings on Thursday.
He scored 74 runs off 30 balls at a strike rate of 246.67 and had smashed seven sixes and three fours. He also stitched a partnership of 101 runs with Wiaan Mulder for the fifth wicket and helped his team bounce back from 95/4.

Klaasen had scored 15 runs off 13 ballks and then went all guns-blazing against the Johannesburg bowlers. Doug Bracewell took a stunning catch to dismiss him while standing at the long-off. Klaasen is the highest run-getter of the ongoing tournamet, as he has scored 447 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 208.87. Klaasen will aim to conyinue his consistentcy while playing for Surisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024.
