Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund reveals Cristiano Ronaldo among his childhood idols

Rasmus Hojlund, the rising star at Manchester United, has recently revealed his admiration for three iconic figures from the club’s illustrious history, with Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo leading the pack.

The Danish striker, who initially faced challenges settling into the Premier League following his hefty £72 million transfer from Atalanta, has found his stride in recent weeks, notably notching goals in his last four consecutive league outings after a 14-game drought.

At just 21 years old, Hojlund’s feat of scoring in four consecutive league games places him in esteemed company, echoing a similar achievement by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at Old Trafford.

Despite his focus on propelling United up the Premier League standings, Hojlund expressed his delight at emulating the accomplishments of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo, whom he considers one of his ultimate idols in a recent interview.

Growing up as an avid supporter of Manchester United, Hojlund witnessed the club’s dominance in English football, fueled by a pack of legendary talents who left an indelible mark on the game.

Reflecting on his childhood inspirations, the Danish sensation named the formidable attacking trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and Carlos Tevez whose exploits led United to Champions League glory in 2008.
