Dinesh Karthik finisher’s knock against Punjab Kings on Monday earned the praise of cricket fans, who feels that the Indian wicketkeeper has been a fine addition to the side since joining them in 2022. Karthik, who came to bat at a critical batting position, produced a stellar knock of 28 from deliveries and hit the winning runs for his side as they got their maiden win of the IPL 2024 season.
Karthik’s entrance into the game during the final two overs turned the game in RCB’s favour. Arriving at the crease when the match seemed to be slipping away from his side, Karthik made an immediate impact. He struck a boundary and a six off Harshal Patel in the penultimate over, then repeated the feat against Arshdeep Singh in the final over.
