RR vs LSG: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will cross swords with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the fourth match of IPL 2024. The game is slated to be held at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on March 24, Sunday.
RR narrowly missed out on making the cut through to the playoffs in the last season. They finished fifth on the points table, just two points below the fourth-placed Mumbai Indians. RR won the inaugural edition of the IPL and since then they didn’t make a bid for the second title.
The Royals made it to the final for the second time in IPL 2022 season but lost to Gujarat Titans. On the contrary, LSG made their IPL debut in the 2022 season and they qualified for the playoffs in their maiden season by finishing third on the table.
Nevertheless, they lost to RCB in the Eliminator. KL Rahul and Co. once again made it to the playoffs in IPL 2023 season but lost to MI in the Eliminator. It remains to be seen how they approach the new season. Let’s take a look at the four batsmen who can score the most runs in the fourth match.
1. Jos Buttler: England international Jos Buttler is one of the highly-rated batters as far as the T20I format is concerned. 3. Yashasvi Jaiswal: Rajasthan Royals’ youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in imperious form of late, producing batting masterclass time and time again for Team India in Tests and T20Is. Quinton de Kock: South African cricketer Quinton de Kock has a truckload of IPL experience to his resume, garnering 2907 runs in 96 games at an average of 32.3 and a strike rate of 134.2, laced with two fifties and 26 fifties. He is expected to provide electrifying starts to the team this season.
The southpaw scored 508 runs for LSG in IPL 2022 season including 1 century and 3 fifties in 15 appearances whereas he scored 143 runs in four games including a fifty in IPL 2023.
