Smriti Mandhana and her eves came good on the biggest night on Sunday as they beat their Delhi Capitals counterparts by eight wickets to clinch the Women’s Premier League crown.
It was well-deserved as the RCB eves outplayed their Capitals counterparts in all three departments. While the spotlight was on the RCB captain, there was another person who stole a little bit of the limelight from her. Smriti’s rumoured boyfriend Palash Muchhal was also present at the Arun Jaitley stadium on the finale night. And after RCB won the title, Smriti posed with Palash and that has sparked speculations.
Palaash, who is a popular Indian music composer, also took to his Instagram handle and posted his picture with Smriti as a story. Palaash posed with Smriti in 2023 as well when the Indian eves won the Asian Games gold in Hangzhou, China.
“Feeling hasn’t still sunk in. Hard for me to come out with expressions. One thing I’ll say is I’m proud of the bunch. Our Bangalore leg was really good. We came to Delhi and had two tough losses. That’s what we spoke about that we need to step up at the right time. These tournaments are about peaking at the right time. Last year taught us a lot of things. What went wrong, what went right,” Smriti said after the win at the post-match presentation.
Mandhana amassed 300 runs in 10 WPL games this season and played a big part in the win.
