Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, established in 2021, will host the IPL for the first time during the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League – IPL 2024, starting from Saturday (March 23).
The Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, which has the ability to house 38,000 fans, has served as home venues to Punjab state team and will serve as a home to the Punjab-based franchise Punjab Kings from the 2024 IPL season.
Punjab Kings have shifted base from the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium, the IS Bindra Stadium, in Mohali. The new venue will host the home games of PBKS from IPL 2024
In the partial released schedule, PBKS will host one match – a clash against the Delhi Capitals in the first double-header of the season on Saturday (March 23) in a day time contest.
The remaining matches will be revealed soon as the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, named after after late Patiala royal, prepares to host it’s first set of matches of such big magnitude at the venue in Mullanpur.
